Inverell, a significant town in northern New South Wales, Australia, is situated on the Macintyre River, in close proximity to the Queensland border. Gwydir Shire Council
Located on the northwestern slopes and plains of NSW, Gwydir Shire is positioned about 560 kilometers north of Sydney, 160 kilometers north of Tamworth, 430 kilometers southwest of Brisbane, 85 kilometers west of Inverell, and 80 kilometers east of Moree. Uralla Shire Council
Under the Local Government Act, Uralla Shire Council was established on 5th December 1947 and commenced operations on 1st January 1948. Covering an approximate area of 3,230 square kilometres, the local government area of Uralla Shire is inhabited by a permanent resident population of around 6,048 individuals, as per the 2016 census. The chief township of Uralla is situated 22 kilometres south of Armidale and 89 kilometres north of Tamworth, on the New England Highway.

Glen Innes Severn Regional Council
Glen Innes is a town and parish situated on the Northern Tablelands of New South Wales, Australia. It serves as the centre of the Glen Innes Severn Shire Council and is located at the junction of the New England and Gwydir Highways. As of the 2016 census, the town had a population of 6,155. The council, which encompasses the town and villages of Deepwater, Emmaville, Glencoe, and Red Range, covers an area of 5,487 sq. km in the scenic New England region of NSW.

Moree Shire Council
Moree is a town located on the Mehi River in the fertile black-soil plains of northern New South Wales, Australia. It is situated at the junction of the Newell and Gwydir Highways and can be accessed via daily train and air services from Sydney. Moree is part of the Moree Plains Shire, which is a local government area in the North West Slopes region of New South Wales, sharing its northern border with Queensland and adjacent to the Newell and Gwydir Highways, as well as the North West railway line.
Moree is a major agricultural centre and played a significant role in the establishment of the Australian cotton-growing industry in the early 1960s. The town is home to artesian hot spring baths renowned for their reputed healing qualities.
The town of Moree serves as the main town and the seat of the council. Other towns and villages within the shire include Ashley, Boomi, Boggabilla, Garah, Gurley, Millie, Mungindi, Pallamallawa, and Weemelah.
